1. Overview
The Rules is a personal rulebook app. You write your own rules, mark them as kept, and watch your streaks build. It is currently distributed as a mini app inside Toss.
The Rules does not require an account and does not send your rules or your records to any Timeborns server. There is no login, no cloud synchronization, and no backend service operated by Timeborns that receives your content.
This does not mean nothing at all leaves your device. Advertising and the host platform are handled by third parties, and those are described in sections 4 and 5. We would rather be precise about that than claim more privacy than the app actually delivers.
2. What is Stored on Your Device
The following is created by you and stored locally by the app:
- The text of the rules you write
- Whether each rule is Daily or Monthly
- Your success records and the dates attached to them
- Your current and past streak values
- Your in-app points balance and how many rule slots you have unlocked
- Basic app settings
Timeborns has no ability to read any of this. It is not transmitted to us, and we hold no copy of it.
3. What The Rules Does Not Collect
- No name, email address, phone number, or date of birth
- No account credentials of any kind
- No contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or calendar access
- No location data
- No health or biometric data
- No payment or financial information
In-app points used to unlock rule slots are an internal app value only. They are not Toss Points, not currency, not redeemable, and have no cash value. No payment processing takes place inside The Rules.
4. Advertising
The Rules shows advertising. Ads are delivered through the advertising components provided by the Toss mini app platform, not by a Timeborns ad server.
Advertising providers generally process a limited amount of device-level and delivery-related information — for example an advertising identifier, coarse device and app environment details, and whether an ad was shown, viewed, or completed — in order to serve, cap, and measure ads. This processing is carried out by those providers under their own policies, not by Timeborns.
Timeborns does not receive your rule content, your records, or any personally identifying information through advertising. We are not able to link an ad impression back to an individual user.
Where the app offers a rewarded ad, watching it is voluntary. Choosing not to watch it does not remove access to your existing rules or records.
5. The Toss Platform
Because The Rules currently runs as a mini app inside Toss, your use of it also takes place inside an environment operated by Toss. Toss's own privacy policy and terms apply to that environment, including how the Toss app itself handles your account and device.
Timeborns does not control the Toss platform and does not receive Toss account information about you. For questions about data handled by Toss itself, please refer to the policies published by Toss.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Your rules and records remain on your device until you delete them. Deleting a rule removes it from the app. Removing or resetting the app, or clearing its stored data through the host platform, removes everything the app has saved.
Because Timeborns holds no copy, there is nothing on our side to delete and nothing we can restore for you. Data lost in this way is not recoverable.
7. Children
The Rules is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children. As the app collects no personal information at all, it holds no children's data to remove.
8. Your Rights
Rights such as access, correction, deletion, and portability normally apply to data held by a service operator. Since Timeborns holds no personal data about you, those rights are exercised directly on your own device: you can view, edit, and delete your rules and records at any time within the app.

9. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated as the app evolves — for example when the standalone Android version is released, which may involve a different advertising provider. The effective date at the top of this page will change when it does.
