1. Acceptance
By using The Rules you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app. These terms apply to The Rules only — other Timeborns apps have their own.
2. What The Rules Is
The Rules is a personal rulebook app. You write your own rules, choose whether each runs Daily or Monthly, mark them as kept, and build streaks over time. It is provided for personal use.
It is not a medical, psychological, financial, legal, or professional service, and it should not be relied on as one. It is a private record of commitments you made to yourself.
3. Distribution and Platform
The Rules is currently distributed as a mini app inside Toss. Your use of the app therefore also takes place within a platform operated by Toss, and the terms and policies published by Toss apply to that platform.
A standalone Android version is in development but has not been released. Timeborns does not control the availability, behaviour, or policies of any distribution platform.
4. Your Content
The rules you write and the records you keep are yours. Timeborns claims no ownership of them, receives no copy of them, and cannot access them.
Because your content is stored only on your device, you are responsible for it. If the app's data is cleared, or the device is lost, reset, or replaced, that content cannot be recovered by Timeborns.
5. In-App Points and Rule Slots
The Rules includes an internal point value earned by keeping rules, which can be used to unlock additional rule slots inside the app.
- These points are an internal app value only.
- They are not Toss Points, not currency, and not connected to any payment system.
- They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, sold, or refunded.
- Unlocked rule slots stay unlocked; deleting a rule does not consume a slot or return points.
- Point amounts and unlock costs may be adjusted in future versions.
6. Advertising
The Rules is supported by advertising delivered through the mini app platform. Some advertising is optional and rewarded — watching it is your choice, and declining it does not remove access to rules or records you already have.
Timeborns does not control the specific content of ads served by third-party advertising providers.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app or its stored data to gain points or slots
- Use the app to store unlawful content
- Interfere with the app's operation or with the platform hosting it
- Redistribute or resell the app or present it as your own
8. Availability and Changes
The Rules is offered as it is, and as it happens to be available. Features may be added, changed, or removed, and the app may be updated, suspended, or discontinued. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes through this site, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
9. Disclaimer
The Rules is provided without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, that streak or point calculations will always be correct, or that data stored on your device will remain intact.
Keeping or breaking a rule inside the app has no effect outside it. The app records your own judgment; it does not verify it.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Timeborns is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of The Rules, including loss of locally stored rules, records, streaks, or points.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated as the app changes — for example when the standalone Android version is released. The effective date at the top of this page will change when they do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
