Summarize the day in a single sentence — a space to write how you want to remember this day.

App Permissions

What we ask for, and why

Dayfall requests only the minimum permissions needed for its core features.

📸 Photo Library Access

Used to select a representative photo for each day and to display photo metadata (such as capture date and time) as memory cues. Photos are never uploaded or transmitted outside your device. Timeborns never accesses your photos.

📍 Location (including "Always Allow")

Used to reconstruct which places you visited during the day. Only locations where you stayed for roughly 15 minutes or more are recorded — not your full movement path. Location data stays on your device and is never sent externally. Background location may be needed to capture place history when the app is not open.

🔔 Notifications

Used to send local reminders for birthdays, anniversaries, and events you have added. All notifications are generated locally on your device — no remote server involved.

Limitations

What Dayfall does not do

Dayfall is a tool to help you recall memories — not a system that records everything perfectly.

Location accuracy varies depending on device conditions, OS policy, battery optimization, and GPS environment.
Place records are based on locations where you stayed for approximately 15 minutes or more.
Full movement paths (continuous routes) are not stored.
No automatic financial connection — payment records are manual notes only.
Backup and restore are local only — no cloud sync is provided.
Data stored locally may not be recoverable if your device is lost or reset without a prior backup.
Dayfall is not a surveillance tool. It is a personal memory aid for your own use only.

Important: Everything recorded in Dayfall exists only on your device. Timeborns does not access, collect, or process your recall records, location data, or photos.
